Born in 2016 in the room of a center asylum seekers, then moved to a cellar, then in a small space shared with a parish of Bologna, the tailoring eventually landed in the airy premises of the Second Floor, where it finally took the form and professionalism of a real fashion atelier. Starting as made to measure, now we are joined by garments of ready-to-wear, accessories, home furnishings, created by the hands of tailors Mamadou Camara, founder present since the beginning, and Hamadi Diallo.

The creation of fashion, clothing, accessories and home, is joined by the sale of african wax fabrics made in Africa, the repair service, the consulting for festive and ceremonial arrangements, the training of tailors and other figures in the fashion field. Over the years the tailoring Vicini d’Istanti has not only sewed clothes and furnishings for the house, but also many relationships on the territory of Bologna and beyond.

We have collaborated with different institutions, part of heterogeneous realities, participating in multiple events, trying to weave together the vocation to social with beauty. We have created fashion collections, proposed inclusive fashion shows, set up weddings and parties, co-organized dinners and ethnic aperitifs, activated training internships in the artistic-cultural field, hired two asylum seekers indefinitely, created creative workshops, set up a state-of-the-art workshop for creative professions, promoted conferences on ethical fashion, made our headquarters a cultural and artistic center called Second floor open to anyone who wants to know us, propose ideas and participate in our initiatives and join.
